I Used to be Cool

Time to hike up my pants to my armpits and bitch about everything that's wrong with the world.

Coldest Podcast On The Planet

Another Podcast is in the can after only a month! This time, I take a walk at -21 degrees Centigrade trying to capture some cool sounds in the forest not far from my house. I tried....

Then I force you to listen to a very long song and I leave you with a pathetically short outro complete with a crackling fire that's supposed to sound warm and relaxing but actually ends up sounding like the middle of a house fire.

Unhappy? Your money will be cheerfully refunded.

Oh yeah... sorry about the 6 or 7 minutes of silence at the end. My bad.

Time Travel

So here it is October and I haven't posted a podcast since June. I did do some recording in July and I've incorporated that audio into this episode. In this episode I talk about hunting, shameless happiness, my place at the lake and I cap it off with some audio I recorded while hunting a real live deranged moose.

The Moose is Back. Episode 47

OK. Two years is a long time between Podcasts. Actually, it's been two years and two months since episode 46.

So why the long hiatus? Let's just say that life brought changes my way. Changes that took all of my energy and attention to deal with.

Finally though, I am ready to resume the Podcast.

In this episode:

  • Intro - where have I been?
  • Snow and blowing chunks
  • Yukon Quest Sled Dog Race clips
  • So long, Bob.

Blast from the Past

Here's an old episode of The Deranged Moose from back in 2006 or so. I'm really just putting this here to get the feed fired back up, but it might serve as a bit of historical perspective to anyone who cares to listen.:

Anyone Out There?

It's been a while. A long while. In fact, it's been such a long while that I think I might be ready to resume the podcast. The question is - does anybody care?

The Deranged Moose has been dormant since December of 2006. I stopped podcasting without explanation, but for good reason. A lot has transpired since then. I'm not sure how much of it I'll be able to share, but I do feel ready to reach out and try to make the connection with past listeners and hopefully some new ones.

Some of the early podcasts (episodes 6 through 29 out of about 46) are still available (for now) on the Internet Archive for those who want the "back story". That was a different life, however. Yes, I'm the same person, but I've been through some changes.

Life is a journey. Let's press on, shall we?
