re iPhone... wife wanted hers at all cost, it was cheaper for her to cancel her contract at a $200+ fee and then start a new contract at get the discount. Only downside was she had to get a new phone number.

re TV... pretty soon you'll want a new microwave too... long expensive slippery slope my friend.

You should get the big tv. I said I'd never get one, and now I have one. It looks great sitting out there in the living room never turned on because, I too refuse to get cable. haha. Great Episode Roger! I sat there with my mouth open when you told the story of you and your buddy flying over that machine on the icy road....

oh my, I'm sitting here saying, "Right on! Amen! You go, Roger!"

Irresponsible snowmobile drivers make me crazy.

Lights before Thanksgiving (Late November here) are tacky. Christmas items in the stores before Halloween makes me nauseous. I literally screamed out loud one year when I received the LLBean Xmas catalog in September.

I still use a black and white Panasonic TV in my kitchen that is about 30 years old, hooked up to a converter box. No flat screens here yet.

"Next time you complain about your phone service, why don't you try using two Dixie cups with a string. We don't care. We don't have to. (snort) We're the Phone Company!"

- When I was in Grade 6 (in Ontario), one of the kids in my class had to get dentures. He and a friend went ripping around on some skidoos and he went up a snowbank and right into a tree. I remember him "impressing" the girls by removing his three or four fake teeth in Grade 9...

- We still have a tube television and no cable. I never really thought about it, but hmm, I guess I haven't seen anyone else with one of those in a while, either. Oh well.
